Gurcharan Das @India Club on Saturday, January 12th 2013 for the Singapore Launch of “India Grows at Night”

Dear Members & Friends of the India Club:

India Club (Singapore) is delighted to welcome back India’s leading public intellectual, Gurcharan Das, for the Singapore launch of his latest book, “India Grows at Night: A liberal case for a Strong State".
After a very successful career in the corporate sector (including as the India CEO of Proctor & Gamble), Gurcharan Das has written several plays, novels and a glittering array of books about the new India, starting with “India Unbound” (which he spoke about at an India Club event) and a wonderful collection of essays, “The Elephant Paradigm”.He then made a detour into moral philosophy (which he had studied as an undergraduate at Harvard) with a superb interpretation of the modern lessons that can be drawn from the Mahabharata, “The Difficulty of Being Good”, the Singapore Launch of which was also hosted by the India Club.
Now he brings a life-time of learning and experience to bear on a magnificent new book, arguing the liberal case for a stronger state in India.

Those non-members who wish to enrol as India Club members on-site can do so by paying $150. We accept cash and cheque payments only. Please feel free to share the information below among your own personal networks as the event is open to all. We request an RSVP to .
